Adrienne in New Milford, CT. was the perfect place to kick off my KidsRFoodies2 adventure. It’s a Bam-Awsome place and Adrienne Sussman, the owner and chef is really cool. I started off simple with a little bread and butter. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jj4B1AErPaM Then came a Roasted Corn Soup with Bacon, Red Bell Pepper, and Fresh Sage
Next was a salad with Sliced Fresh Peaches, Prosciutto & Vermont Goat Cheese on Fresh Arrugala with Reduced Balsamic ****I tried this sald and realized that goat cheese is tooooo much for me and I thinks I may be allergic to arrugala lol – Her mom and friend ate the whole plate (as to not waste great food!)
Next I tried Sauteed Breast of Duck drizzled with Pomegranate Sauce & accompanied by a blend of Exotic Fruit and Wild Rice. I Liked the duck but not crazy about the sauce so my mom gave me a piece of bread to “erase” the sauce from the meat. I just dabbed the meat on the bread and the sauce came right off – Oh and I hated the rice – sorry.
For dessert I had a slice of warm, Flourless Chocolate Cake topped with Strawberry and Chocolate hearts flled with Raspberry Puree (No Grand Marnier Berries for me) I was stuffed but ate the whole thing!
